On the afternoon of the 28th May the inauguration of the new leisure and cultural event in the village, ‘Begur in flower’ took place in Begur’s main square,
From 29th May to 2nd June, the Begur Trade & Tourism Association along with the Village of Begur organizes ‘Begur in flower’, a floral event inspired by the tradition of Corpus, which historically dressed the village streets until the 1970’s.
With a playful approach to the original festival, Begur in flower was proposed, in collaboration with the council, neighbours, school students, pensioners club and shops, to dress the village with the spirit of spring: flower carpets in the streets, floral installations in squares and corners, decoration of houses and balconies, decorated shop windows… and a whole range of cultural and recreational events: an exhibition of vintage photographs, speakings, workshops, children’s entertainment, musical performances in the main square, and thematic parties in nightclubs.
